The O40’s completed a third successive run chase when beating Warrington on Wednesday. The visitors chose to bat first and started badly when Scott took a wicket in the first over. Warrington recovered and continued to score at a steady pace and reached 46-1 by the 9th over. However, a succession of wickets followed, and Warrington closed on 99-5. Highlights from the innings include a cat-like run out by Bishop off his own bowling and a full-length diving catch by Sheldon when fielding close to the bat. Bishop 4-1-19; Cornes 3-1-11. In reply, Toft lost a couple of early wickets which slowed their progress but B Ashley (22) and Locke (30no) got them back on track. Toft reached their target in the 19th over and consolidate their third-place position in the League.
