RULES & FORMAT:
6 players per side/team
12 overs per side / innings
No player can bowl more than 3 overs
Batters retire 'not out' on 25runs (i.e 24 plus next run/runs)
Batters can resume their innings after the fall of the 5th wicket, but in order of retirement
The innings will be closed after six wickets, allowing the 'last batter to stand'
We ask all U13's to wear full protective kit whilst batting & wicket keeping
The League will provide the match balls in all fixtures (junior sized aeroball)
Batters can be caught out off all walls and ceilings except the designated boundary wall
No LBW unless the batter makes no attempt to play a shot. Stumpings, bowled, run-out, hit wicket are other forms of dismissal
All overs will consist a maximum of 6 balls. No extra balls for wides and no-balls
Wides and no-balls will be scored as extras +2 runs
Batters will be given 2 runs for every completed 'physical run'
An additional run can also be obtained through hitting side walls (the batters do not need to run to obtain this additional run)
Behind the bowler there will be a designated 'boundary wall' where if struck without hitting side walls can achieve 4 & 6 runs
There are no additional runs gained through fielder overthrows hitting walls
The winning team shall be that with the higher total at the end of their innings
If the runs scored by both sides are equal after the full allocation of overs have been bowled, the result is a tie
