On Sunday the 3XI were held to a winning draw at Macclesfield.

Macclesfield opting to bowl first were up against a strong batting line up and an inspired performance from Ewan Williams. In only 35 over Toft declared on 212-3 with Williams scoring a prodigious 114 not out. He was aided by Dan Gibbon (37) and Tom Maddocks (21). Macclesfield were never really in the chase once opener Thomas Potts was removed for 52. They closed on 144-5 in 45 overs, youngster Josh Wyatt bowling well to claim 4-21 in 9 overs.
